"to you the person who feels its ok to steal creative or steal inspiration from others, you must know you will never ever get it right because you are creating from the same heart. you do not have the same pain in your heart, where the best art comes from...."
thanks shawn! i'm glad you noticed this part. its not to say art can only come from pain in your heart but for me its a deeply personal source of inspiration... and i just don't think those who choose to steal from other artists realize that.
side note: this made me realize i was missing an "not" before creating so i fixed it. lol, thank you.
I knew exactly what you meant when you mentioned art coming from pain in your heart... our art is therapeutic and deeply personal... I don't think that those that decide to take from others realize much of anything... using others work as a source of inspiration is one thing, but to blatantly copy, style, technique, vibe, flow is just artificial... the cream always rises to the top... that's my opinion...
Glad that I could point out an update needed hahah
If you're taking requests for subject matter for these, I'd like to propose a topic that I'd love to hear you speak on... its about "access" and that just because you have it, it doesn't mean that makes you a great photographer or creative.... its something that I also have been arguing with myself about when reviewing so much work on social media and publication is... you see these creatives that have been granted access to events, to people, to locations, brands etc. and their work is MID at best... and you wonder why these creatives were selected to capture, create, or produce this work... I know its a deep conversation about gate keeping and all that nonsense that we can't avoid but I would love to hear what your experiences have been...
Bro, I truly hope you are thinking about doing a podcast! I would listen to that sh*t DAILY!
